Compact, warm pop-up for a niche fragrance house in Montpellier.
Project — Design a sensorial pop-up translating brand DNA into a calm, tactile environment that invites discovery in 12 m². ~€10k budget.
Role — Experience strategy & zoning, lighting concept, 3D visualization, materials/specs, set-up guidance.
Tools — 3ds Max · D5 Render · Photoshop · Illustrator.
Guest-journey zoning, soft lighting, and natural materials (wood, local stone) to spotlight the hero scent Cologne de l’Écusson.
Deliverables: photorealistic 3D, layout & lighting guidelines, material pack.
Strategy at a glance
Context — Pop-up store at street level; small area, high foot traffic. Preliminary design phase
Objectives — Create an immersive yet minimalist atmosphere; showcase Cologne de l'Écusson; enable simple operation for staff.
Layout and zoning — Eye-catching display at the entrance (hero pedestal) → Test area (textures and notes) → Back bar (overview of the range + gifts).
Lighting — Soft, indirect lighting (2700-3000 K) with accent spotlights on pedestals and testing trays; controlled glare for greater comfort.
Materials — Natural wood, local “bar de gris” stone look; greenery, warm neutral tones to allow clear viewing of the bottles.
Deliverables — Photorealistic 3D, layout and lighting guidelines, props, construction notes.
Creative process
Analysis — Site photos, light paths, entry visibility, SKU mix and hero priorities.
Design development — Journey mapping and layout tests; materials & color direction; lighting angles and lux targets.
Visualization & handover — Final 3D renders; annotated plan (traffic & sightlines), fixture list, and assembly tips.
Client gift: dried flowers + sample
A small gift offered at the end of the experience, including dried flowers and a scented sample.
Objective: Prolong the sensory experience at home and reinforce emotional connection to the brand

Variations
Travel-size display: for Cologne de l’Écusson
Secondary POS unit dedicated to the travel-size version of the Cologne. Designed as a standalone or complementary display.
Objective: Showcase the nomadic line in a compact, brand-consistent format.
Design: Echoes the materials of the main pop-up (Montpellier limestone), lightweight, easy to handle
Commercial animation wall
Designed for use in department stores.
Objective: Create a strong sensory moment to anchor brand recall.
Customer experience: Olfactory demonstration, accompanied by a scripted product presentation and narrative centered around the Cologne.
